San Francisco done

Unfortunately Emirates gave me an unwanted gift somewhere between SA & USA - food poisoning. It started with a  slight "naar" feeling but developed into full blown - sorry bad choice of words - bona fide food poisoning. This made it difficult to fully enjoy Furry's excellent cullinary creations culminating in a delicious fillet roast which I ate with "lang tande". Netty also treated us to an authentic Mexican meal at the Cactus Taqueria in Oakland where we had Burrito with beans, rice, salsa fresca and your choice of filling. I had pork and could only manage half of  it which, for those who know me is a clear indication of my sad gastric condition.

We spent the morning of our last day at the Berkley Botanic Gardens where they had a really good SA section. Actually SA plants are very popular in California with most gardens having a few specimens like Euphorbia, Aloes, Plumbago and many others.

Up at 4:30 on Sunday, quick shower, coffee and then off to the airport to catch our flight to San Diego. There is so much more to see and do in San Francisco but there was just no time
